TalkLaunch interview

Michelle Brock is a spiritual development life coach and a hypnotist in New York City. She specializes in past life regression, inductive development, and manifesting positive life changes. I met Michelle at a wedding in Baltimore. She is my wife’s cousin. I’d heard she was a hypnotist. I half expected her to show up in a macrame’d skirt and a gypsy scarf. I should have known: all the women in my wife’s family are remarkably physically attractive. Michelle is not your stereotypical spiritualist. She’s funny, smart and put together. (She’s a New Yorker.) I am not a spiritual person. When introspective, I favor ancient oriental insight. I stop short of reincarnation. There is no sense to speculate on life before or after this one; it is unknowable. I started listening to her podcast as a skeptic. Michelle has a unique narrative. She frames her interpretations in science and history. She provides cultural context to her readings. Mechelle weaves time around Jungian archetypes providing us a haunting closeness to our ascendants. It’s fascinating. Her readings are surprisingly accessible; there was nothing I needed to believe. Michelle is a healer, even I get that. I have no faith, but I’m not ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I’m interested. Michelle likes red wine, sings in the shower, and gets asked daily: “What’s past life regression?” She was polite enough to share a bit more of herself with us via. this Q & A.

Love never dies. In fact, love is truly the only thing that we can take with us

when we die, and then beyond into our next life. But how does love

“survive” death? Do we really have soul mates that we have loved and

lost over the course of many lifetimes? How will we recognize them?

Is this what we mean by “love at first sight?” How will we meet them,

is it destined that we will? What is love anyway?

Well, let’s begin with the last question. What is love?

Michelle Brock Biography

Michelle Brock is a New York City based spiritual development life coach who specializes in past life regression. She works closely with her clients as they recall details from past lives, a process that allows them to explore their unique gifts, as well as their specific life challenges. Michelle is also a psychic medium and spiritual counselor who believes that all human beings are psychic. She is a master hypnotist, and has also studied spirituality, shamanism, and energy medicine techniques from many different world traditions. Based on her own experience, including discovering her past lives and the spiritual journey that resulted, Michelle is an expert guide and a true mentor to all she has worked with.

Having become aware of the fact that she had psychic abilities at a very young age, Michelle's quest to understand and develop them led her to the study of spirituality in many different forms. As she came to compare the spiritual traditions in various religions and cultures throughout history, she discovered that many reported mystical experiences throughout the ages seemed to have universal elements and were perhaps even an inherent part of what it means to be human. After her younger sister's near death experience in 2004 during which she spoke in a language she had never learned, Michelle's focus became past lives, specifically the process of uncovering past life memories. This led her to meet and work with Dr. Brian Weiss, best-selling author of several books including "Many Lives, Many Masters". This encounter resulted in her uncovering her own past life memories and incited within her a profound spiritual awakening that forever altered the course of her life.

Michelle is also a writer, and is the author of several popular blogs on topics related to past lives and spirituality. She has written articles that have been featured in several publications including Yahoo! Shine, Glamour Underground magazine, All Things Girl magazine, Bride and Style magazine, The Shaman's Well, and the Examiner. She is a featured expert andadvice columnist on ChickRX.com and has contributed her story to bestselling author Dr. Brian Weiss' latest book, "Miracles Happen: The Transformational Healing Power of Past Life Memories", which was released in October 2012.

A dynamic public speaker, Michelle is funny, warm, and has a practical, down to earth approach. In 2009, she began hosting a weekly show for the Voice America Talk Radio Network called "Your Past Will Open Your Future". Her podcasts attracted as many as 50,000 weekly listeners, and in only 13 weeks becamethe second highest rated show on the network. She has also been a featured guest on CBS radio and Blogtalk radio, as well as many other popular podcasts. In May 2015, Michelle was interviewed on Comedy Central's show "Inside Amy Schumer" in a segment called "Amy Goes Deep With a Psychic". Michelle is currently working with a New York City-based production company to develop her own television show.

Michelle is passionate about her family and friends, doing almost anything outdoors, humanitarian and environmental causes, cycling, yoga, art, and adventure travel. She is a healer, a self-professed bookworm, an amateur historian, considers herself to be somewhat of a spiritual anthropologist, learns something new every day, and enjoys the fact that it is impossible for her to ever have a boring day at the office. But above all, Michelle loves that she is able to be a privileged part in the beautiful, profound mystical and spiritual experiences of others.
